What does shift f5 do

Shift F5 (or Shift + F5) allows to reload the whole current web page, including the browser cache.

When you only use F5 to refresh the web page, the browser uses the cache. With Shift F5, you force the browser to reload completely the page and to download again all the files (js files, images, scripts, …).

It’s called Hard reload. You will get the most recent version of the page sent by the server.

On Apple / MAC, the shortcut is Command R (Command + R).

All the web browsers allows this shortcut.
